Bird Identification Workshop
February 20 – March 20, 2010

Spread your wings on an avian adventure with the Delaware Museum of Natural History! Our five-week Bird Identification Workshop features expertise from the Museum’s staff ornithologist and resources from our collection of 118,000 specimens – one of the largest in the United States.

Curator of Birds Jean Woods, Ph.D., explains how to identify bird species in the Tri-State area using specimens from the Museum’s scientific collections. Beginner and intermediate birders will learn to recognize families of birds and details of local species. Must be age 16 or older.

Dates: Saturdays, February 20 and 27, March 6, 13, and 20
Time: 10 a.m. – noon
Cost: $40 for Museum members, $55 for non-members
